2002 (pre slab side fairing) cat D write off. Must have been some major cosmetic damage to write off a 2 month old bike. Andy

As for the possible damage, I have just purchased a Cat N (Old Cat D), suzuki gsxr600 K8, didn't look to badly damaged

Upon stripping it down, there were 2 broken panels, and one broken headlight (panel mounting lugs snapped off), and a few panels with scuffs and deep scratches, the cost of the 2 broken panels alone, genuine suzuki, was more than a full aftermarket fairing kit from china

We worked out the price, for genuine parts, was nearly £3000 retail, then, there would have been the labour rates on top

Headlight, £607 genuine, or £94 aftermarket

 

A poorly written advert in my humble opinion for that money.!
