  11. How fast would he have been on Tarmac. The other Brit did it on a closed Mway not sand.

  12. Pendyne sands isn't sand as we know it, it's virtually as hard as Tarmac. Guy is a proper bloke, a refreshing change from the metrosexual prissy boys chavballers all aim to be.

He's a proper old school engineer, too.

  13. Lucky...
    Or hard working ?

  14. Splendid program. I enjoyed every minute of it. Guy just has that certain something which seems to translate very well on T.V.You can't help but like the guy, his enthusiasm is contagious.
I saw him laying on his back, examining a motorcycle with that unusual steering at the Goodwood festival of speed a couple of weeks after his horrendous crash on the Isle of Man. Dirty old shorts and grubby knees, he was a bit like a grown up Just William character, albeit with sideburns.

  18. Watched it this afternoon. Really good TV. I was also impressed with Dave Jenkins, the lorry driver, who also appears to be someone who enjoys doing his job. What a team and a bit of a shame they couldn't find a better surface to do the attempt on as they made it look relatively easy. Will definitely watch the rest of the series, best thing on this Christmas (does this still count as Christmas?).

  20. That was a great TV programme and lI really look forward to the others. He has set the bar very high.

I was seriously worried for him when he did his 1st proper run on target and was then screaming at the TV for him to stop attempting it on the sand in gusty conditions.....but he did it! Big balls :upyeah:

Maybe we should invite Piers Morgan to try and go faster
