Hamilton To Ferrari

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by ducv2, Feb 1, 2024.

  1. The tribal like obsession for one team/ one driver/ one player which is then warped into attacking other competitors ad nauseam is the antithesis of sport of all flavours. Everyone over 14 should realise that.

  2. So true.

One reason I don’t go to football matches much.

I’ve only been riding 7 years and got into BSB first in 2016. How refreshing to stand among supporters of various riders without any of that nonsense.

  3. Ferrari’s disqualified. I kinda had a hunch Ferrari would drive Hamilton potty. Mercedes they ain’t when it comes to strategy and efficiency. Tenner says Hamilton will lose it over the radio in the not too distant future. And Ferrari won’t like that at all…

  4. Piastri!

Hamilton, Leclerc and Alpine's Gasly disqualified.

Ocon, Albon & Bearman did well.

    Lawson a disaster again

  5. Ferraris chief strategist had this to say on the matter

  6. He was already telling his engineer to leave him to in the very first race.
Do we know why they were disqualified?

  7. leclercs car was underweight and hamiltons had too much damage underneath

How embarrassing, they *cheated and still finished 5th and 6th

  8. Ferrari said Leclerc's high tyre wear due to his one-stop race strategy had caused the weight breach, while they had "misjudged the consumption by a small margin" in regard to Hamilton's skid wear.(ride height)

"We will learn from what happened today and make sure we don't make the same mistakes again," the statement added.

  9. I had to look up who their strategist was earlier….Indian born Oxford grad with all sorts of Astro physics qualifications.

Kind of makes you wonder if someone a little more qualified in the actual racing/driving aspect might make more sense….

  10. I think LeClerc’s car was underweight and Hamilton’s car skid board was too thin… so he was running his car too low. A team fuck up, basically…

  11. Perez watching the news his successor has been sent back to the junior team

  12. Doesn't this Red Bull saga remind you of honda motogp?
Make the car/bike designed around the star then wonder why no one else can drive/ride it?

  13. F1 is different. The constructors is a very big deal. The team that wins it receives shit tons of cash and will remain ultra competitive for the next season.

I don’t believe the car is tailored exclusively for MV. Both cars have to be drivable and bring home the bacon. Max is a shit hot driver but lacks a competitive team mate imo. Perez was/is no mug but lost his mojo unfortunately. It’ll be very interesting to see how Yuki Tsunoda does now he’s got the hot seat. Big pressure…

  14. I would have thought they’d need a driver to bring the car home, not crash it at any opportunity  Andy

  15. The comments I have seen say that without Vettell, the car is not competitive

  16. From someone that’s blocked me :sob: Too numerous to guess

  17. Not from here :joy::laughing:, from F1 commentary pages
