I also have a set they are really well made . And designed so you can take off and on easily. I really recommend Utopia's workmanship
Thanks, Mel. And thanks too to Matt, whose response was first class when we discovered that the brake side master cyl on his 695 was of a slightly different design to that fitted to earlier monsters. Tbh, I had anticipated this problem, but had thought that the changes only came in with the new style 696 etc monsters. So currently, I can only say that these will fit yr2000 and earlier monsters. A full refund was offered but Mat decided to trim the guard to fit, and the result looks to have been successful. Incidentally, Matt, I'll send you some touch up paint as soon as I've worked out what to put it in, and a new, longer length of the rubber seal/cushion strip. I still have a couple of pairs left if anyone is interested. Actually, they'll probably be available one way or another for ages, as I can make more fairly easily now. However, the time involved in making them is ridiculously high, so future pairs are likely to be at a higher price. Get 'em while they're cheap. There is even an outside chance that future mouldings may be available in carbon fibre, but these are a very long way off just now, so don't hold your breath. A bit more info....I've recently changed to flat bars on my monster and the guards fitted fine. Actually, I did then shorten the flat bars, which then required a small trim to the guards to clear the top yoke, but with std length bars there was loads of room without any cutting.
