1260 Handling A Bit Twitchy

  1. Ah brand new then, unlikely to be head bearings, but if they were not properly tightened you never know? Good luck though, very frustrating I imagine.

  2. @**Topher** Ifn its a branny and only done 625 miles, I would be having a good ole natter with the supplying dealer, as to the problems you are having. These little faults should have been checked on its pdi!

  3. It’s sorted .... rides like my 1200 now ...It was just the leaky front tyre Schrader valve loosing pressure after a couple of days. 0.8 of a bar is a bit excessive in a couple of days especially when I didn’t ride it those two days.
Still worth them checking over at service though.
I also only run stock suspension settings on all my bikes ... never felt the need to mess with for road use.
Road surfaces are so varied and random unlike Tracks which I guess are a lot more even and predictable.

  4. Good to hear chief, still should have been picked up at the factory or on the pdi. I was thinking along the line of, you're out on a ride, hot sunny day! Tyre warms up so pressure increases, unknown to you the schrader valve is loosening further, you're cranked over when the valve is so loose its able to blow itself and the dust cap off and rapidly deflates!
Ooer i'm getting all cynical again, caught it off @Loz you know! :innocent:

  5. I’m not sure your a tyre is a tyre comment is accurate as such. I ran 3 different sets of tyres on a motorbike the last set totally transformed a very stubborn to tip in motorcycle. It was very much light and day transformation, but I guess each rider has a different take on what certain equipment does for them.

Did you not take the opportunity to test ride the bike you were moving to?

Good luck with getting it to where you’d like your riding experience to be.

  6. I did ask for a test ride but they hadn’t got one with a leaky tyre valve so I didn’t bother

  7. Lucky for you it was a leaky valve solution and not just an inherent incurable fault with the motorcycle, a lot of money spent without a test ride.;)
