get the suspension set up. ie softened. You need the standard seat to take maximum weight off your wrists. and set it in wet mode till your used to it a bit. It will seem slow by the autumn.
no, you must be mad, you were complaining of it been too much 5 minutes ago! man up, and ride it like a man
Too much for the road my friend. In my opinion that is @195 set up and 120 BHP isnt enough for me, in again my opinion hence the thread - I've bought the wrong bike...............whilst I appreciate the comments and feedback. It is down to ones individual opinion. Sure 195 is great & thats cool, I should have done my homework I suppose - i.e joined the forum before purchase would have been a brighter idea.
Pretty much why I sold my 1299. Uncomfortable to ride normally, but perfect through a fast country lane ride with lots of body movement. Found it wasn't for me. Traded it in for this instead and am completely happy now.
Again I agree with that, I find most of the time I can't enjoy the bike.Whats your bike like on say motorway say 30 miles?
That is a shame, ive done 5000 road miles on mine and love it. But then I live on some of Yorkshires B roads. Hope you get what you need. A BMW R9T will be my panigales companion next year
It's awesome. I've done my 600 mile run in in just over 1 week. I can do 150 mile ride and still feel good to continue. It handles amazingly well and pulls great wheelies. But key aspect is that it allows you to pootle along at normal speeds without feeling any need to go mad. Sure it doesn't have 205bhp but it has enough poke, and is so much fun overall.
I'm maybe going to get an R9T to go alongside the panigale also. Love the look of them and meant to ride great too. Going to get a test ride.
The throttle goes both ways Buy cooksters 1198,then you can leave it in 5th gear and ride it like a scooter everywhere
Absolutely but like I said, its terrible at low speed / i.e traffic & filtering etc......hence the comments
No worse than any other sports bike. Add some helibars for a slightly lifted hand position and perfect.
Sorry mate it absolutely is my GSXR 1000 was far better at low speeds., its the bottom end slow speed im having bother with I suppose. Maybe I can live with it. I will try it for a longer period I suppose. I think the duke is great - but it isn't for me I don't think., I should have bought a bike more suitable to my requirements. Don't get me wrong its great at being whats its built for but not so good as everyday stuff, that I want it to do.
