  1. I see it as natural progression of the thread, so its all good with me :upyeah:

  2. And its not talking tits, clunge or arse is ot ;-)

WWWII ticked my box as it was an aim to take over a number of countries and conquer a continent, next the world, so we would have been under serious threat pretty quickly. It was also our continent.

Falklands also justified for action as it was an invading our our sovereign state, but take the point on sanctions instead.

  3. A gun is as safe as the person holding it.
Is it really a good idea to give someone who has PTSD a gun ? No think flashbacks .

Is it a good idea to give an unstable person a gun ( not linking that to the above by the way).
    No...

A gun is as safe as the owner is sensible and sane.
If your neither you shouldn't really have a gun in my opinion.

Guns are best kept in ranges.
(As you can see its not fail safe).

I'm glad we have our gun laws here.
But sadly there's always if someone wants something they will get it .

  4. To me, the key thing that's forgotten about people with regard to guns in the US is that people can change, sometimes dramatically and unpredictably. Today's normal, responsible, sane, Firearms certificate holder is tomorrows nervous breakdown sufferer and completely unstable. What are the chances of ANY system picking this up quickly enough to prevent a Sandy Hook type disaster? Which is why, despite what the moronic NRA say in the US, combat weapons have no place in the hands of ANYONE outside a range or a battlefield. We have gun control pretty much right here in the UK I think.
