I'm no expert....But, I'd say you need to drop that shoulder and the rest will/should follow... See below for body position perfection...
I wasn't really committed at all, but naturally you do more rights on track, so lefts are never practiced as much. That is why Bedford is being permanently added to my plans. Inters. Yes, central yellow light is TC. The most I saw down the straight was 160. I have a tendency to slow down far too early!
I've heard it described as 'trying to kiss the mirror'. Joking aside, the vid I posted is pretty useful. This is worth a watch, even just for the 'hello everybody"
As nelson says, if you just drop your shoulder your head follows. Also try to get your chest closer to the tank. Do one of those things and the other one follows. Igamine a 9 inch bit of string (maybe a foot) tied to your top yoke and the zip on your leathers. You need to keep close enough and far enough forward to make sure it doesn't pull the zip down.
Found in a few old pics, this is what I was talking about. I don't like my head too close to the tarmac, and found this was a nice compromise for me that gave max lean angle, max speed but meant I could still see right thru the corner. HTH
Instructor told me to hang off more on Thursday. Last session chatted to @Lyndon mate who used to race sidecars who said I was leaning off too much after following me for 1 1/2 laps. I think 1/2 my issue may be looking at the apex rather than where I'm going/exit/ next corner.
You need to look thru the apex to the exit once you have hit your turn point, so it means you feel slower and more controlled and therefore you can go way faster. In the pic above from Druids, I am looking almost into Graham Hill just before I late apex the turn, and am relying on peripheral vision to take care of the apex That doesn't affect hanging off tho, and if you are hanging a long way just add speed until your knee touches down.
