    PEOPLE TURN TO POISON

QUICK AS LAGER TURNS TO PISS

    SWEETHEARTS ARE PHYSICALLY SICK

    EVERY TIME THEY KISS

    IT'S A SOCIOLOGIST'S PARADISE

    EACH DAY REPEATS

    UNEASY, CHEASY, GREASY, QUEASY

    ...BEASTLY, BEASLEY STREET

  4. Beasley St. - one of my all time faves.

I hadn't realised just how bad H&S has got in the UK.

I suppose that UK "competitiveness" is influenced by all this add-on cost, not to mention the demoralisation of the UK workforce.
So how are you going to compete with the 3rd world countries which make everything that is imported into the UK? You can't.

Is the UK H&S harmonised with Europe? Would you find the same regulations in Poland or Spain?

Why can't people be provided with H&S equipment, but be provided with a disclaimer form if they don't choose to wear it? Surely it's like track days: they are dangerous so you have to sign a form to say that you are OK with that.

H&S people surely have the same motivation as traffic wardens. If you went around all day without ever issuing a ticket, your employers would be fed up, but so would you be. You'd think you were wasting your time - rather than not interfering with anyone's day. If the H&S people just passed everything, they would be in the same boat. Thus they have an incentive to be as disruptive as possible - it provides their only job satisfaction.

  5. Yet you can still walk down the street and pass workmen using power tools with no safety equipment at all.

  6. They're the subcontractors, getting the fuck on with it and trying to earn a buck...
