Hi Higgy748, I used a gerbing G-12, bought in 2012 and paid £100.00, the best kit I ever had for winter. with 3 years of abusing it, with cold and rain, the heating element stopped working in one hand. Took it back to GetGeared in Leatherhead and they sent to the factory, came back new again in 1 week! No charges. When sold My R1, for some stupid reason, I gave the gloves thinking I wouldn't ride so soon I definitely recommend them.
I have one failed and to tight to pay £100+ for a new one, seen a few on ebay ... do you have a link ? Did it work OK with the Ducati control ? Still heatup the same ? Thanks
I did the same when one of my ducati elements died. Just soldered in some fleabay elements to the original wiring at the grip and put the original grips back over them. I don't think they heat up as well but may be just the brand I bought however they do work fine through OEM control. Considering getting Oxfords for the winter as they are proper hot and I prefer the control unit at my left hand rather than fiddling about with my throttle hand trying to activate them through the starter button!
