Taupaki aye, you probably shot up 16 on most of your rides. Im out in Papakura, dead opposite end of Auckland.
yea lived about 3 miles from sh16 some good riding once past waimauku or used to be! not been home in 13 years.. my uncle lives in papakura, used to go there alot when a kid. seemed like a long drive back then but i spend longer in the van in london traveling 10-15 miles to work.. if it wasnt for the tools it'd be faster to walk it! i hear the NW motorway cuts through 16 now (used to be the end of it) and carries on up north... crazy...
Yeah thats right Taupaki has become part of Kumeu becuase the wineries have made it more valuable, you have to be lucky to find a house out there for under a million. auckland has changed a heap since you where here 13 years ago. The average price of a house in Auckland is now 845,000.00. What are the roads like in the Uk for riding, black ice gives me the shits, do you get much of that?
never encountered any black ice myself but ive never really ridden in winter other than in london and there is only a few days of the year where it wouldnt be possible to ride here.. but it takes its toll with the salt and ya need to stick to the larger rds sometimes. roads in london complete shit.. the amount of pot holes is mind blowing!!! they cannot fix a road over here.. you do get some great roads once out of here but you have to be alot more wary of the road surface than you do back home as well as the traffic. 845K !! london prices!!! loved it round taupaki for the vineyards and hidden restaurants. my old landladies sister owned allerly house on the selaks vineyard and my good buddy was the head chef there for a long time so i was a regular.. lovely spot
Still is a good spot just a bit more crowded now, plan is to do a motorcycle tour of europe some day. Sounds like I will have to do it on a multistrada or something similar
Hello and welcome into the mad house full of cordial people I see you have the best colour unlike the chiz who thinks black and white is the new red :Wideyed: Bless him he only gets out twice a year
I think i know which two days they would be, it must be birthday and when the all blacks play england at twickenham. Btw, i dont think i will change my colour scheme.
Hey mate. I saw that new highlands motorsport park has opened in dunedin. Have you had a chance to check ot out. It looks pretty nice
They are hard to come by now but The ones I have seen for sale have started at $16,000.00 for a slightly damaged plastic with 18,000ks on the dial up to $21,000.00 for a carbon and termignoni bike with same number of Ks.
bout the same as here then.. think its much the same all over these days with maybe the odd bargain to be had here or there...
