I would highly recommend Tyler Lunceford at North Motorcycle in Edinburgh. He is a true artisan and there isn't much he won't know about Ducatis. Wouldn't take my bike anywhere else. Check him out on Instagram or Give him a call. https://northmotorcycle.co.uk
Is the Thule Bar still open? Stayed the summer of '76 (you remember....the hot one where you could actually get away with shirt sleeves ) working on the fish. The Thule was our local, the Queens on a Sunday. Last visited in 1998....took my wife to see our old stamping grounds and the dear old Thule was still there. Together with the decorations/wallpaper (what was left of it....and some of the regulars) that were there back in 1976. Couldn't believe how infrastructure has come on.... the old Lerwick/Scalloway Road was single-track with passing places. In 1990's, virtually 3 lane motorway. But some great roads - would love to take a bike up there again for one last visit. A very nice part of the world. Welcome. Cheers S23
Yeah , the thule is still going strong , not been in it for years though ! Queens is closed though , the roads are superb , a few good straights and lots of twisties !! Fishing getting better again after the slump ..
You can still get fairing sections from Ducati - they are not horrifically expensive either. Sticky rev counter? If it bounces about/seems erratic it could be the Reg/Rect on the way out. I would fit a MOSFET anyway as part of preventative maintenance.....
Thanks, yes I have got a quote for the centre section with the correct decal , £560 + p&p ! Is the reg a 3 phase ?
