I didn't get to pick up the 750 on Friday as I had daddy duties that day. So this morning I hopped on a train (with leathers in a huge bag) to head out west to collect the bike and it was peeing down! So I got off half way and went back to work! Now I am having second thoughts. I do not think I will get the bike through my front gate and into the front garden, so that means it'll be in the street ready to be pinched/knocked over/driving in to. I do have a cover and good locks, but I don't know what to do! Should I still get it and park it outside, of just get a vespa for the winter and wait until the spring?
Knock the gate posts down and go for it. You know you want to!! I've never heard of anybody declining a Ducati in preference to a gate post.
being a scooter owner is not really the same is it? have you seen that site? Crikey! I'll get a local builder to quote for moving the wall and hopefully I'll get a dry day to go back down there to collect.
You'll get that bad boy through the gate. The 750ss is surprisingly skinny. A great perk of having a v-twin/ducati, you can get in some places an il4 cant! If you're in Wandsworth, stick it under a lamp post with a big huge lock.
Love these comments! Wouldn't expect anything less from a Ducati Forum. Reminds me of the good old days at Ducatisti...
Picked up the beauty yesterday and she is perfect! 13,000 miles, new MOT, FSH, private plate and not a single blemish. Nice set of cans and she runs a treat. I had a 120 mile ride home, so plenty of time for things to fall off (and indeed a mirror came loose and a numberplate bolt fell off!) Will take her to see Dave Robinson tomorrow for a once over and hopefully a nice rider this weekend. I even got myself a nice seat cover with numberplate off ebay in readiness....
