  12. Hi,

just got a HJC FS some number or other, and fit is great, noise reduction brilliant, and is pinlock ready. So, the big question - is pinlock a universal fitment? eBay (being the god-awful place it is) has every type, style and colour of pinlock insert, but all seem to be specific to a lid. Is this just the usual eBay marketing via keyword, or do I have to get a HJC pinlock insert?

    Thanks in advance,

    pete

  13. I know my pinlock on the shoei is a different shape to the aria pinlock.

But I think some lids do use a generic one....but check with pinlock or a proper pinlock distributor.

  14. Cheers Anth, will seek out a pukka distributor to see what they say.

  15. Well I never. I thought they were a standard size.

Every day is a school day

  16. There's also several different patterns for the Arai pinlock, depending on whether you have a L-type or I-type visor, whether it's the race version (extends higher up the visor), plus there's a specific TourX version.

  17. Oooo.....now it is getting complicated.

  18. Anybody used pinlockshop.co.uk ? Is it kosha?

price looks pretty much same as eBay, except uk based retailer gets all the money, and eBay/PayPal don't get their extortionate cut.

lots of variations in pinlock fittings, would keep an anorak busy for days working out the permutations!

    cheers,

    pete

  19. I just bought a HJC and the third time out wearing it this sunday, I threw up in it. It was a nice lid. :-( I'm hoping the jet washing I gave it will get rid of the carrots.
