Guys if someone could tell this ignoramus how to do it - I'll post pictures (if anyone is interested of course)
shame Mr Rhino wants to let bonhams have it rather than offer it to us first... how comes you're getting out of it so quickly? the mileage went from 17k in 07 to just under 2k in 08... i wish i could ride that fast!
It hasn't got to Bonhams yet. You want it - you buy it (you collect it!) £8,500, to include: All books (Owners manual an Factory Workshop Manual for the 916S - you find another!) owners toolkit, Factory 916 Bike Cover, Factory 916 Document bag, two immaculate 916 wheels -it's wearing a pair of Marschinesci race wheels (I think)
. . . Well actually that's not true . . . complete BS really. The truth is that I've modified the engine by injecting Dark Matter and it's now so FCUKing fast it goes backwards in time - hence the continually descending odometer readings . . .. Well spotted Mr RC1. Actually The speedometer died at about 16,000 kms and was replaced with a Ducati 916 replacement which currently reads about 3,000 miles. All MOTs to confirm.
Stafford 15 October 10:30 Stafford Showground postcode is: ST18 0BD The bike is lot number 312 - right at the end of the sale http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/24131/lot/312/?category=list&length=10&page=25 Hope that works
Those wheels are the same as mine. The ones without webbing in the spokes. I understand theyre not strictly for the road as someone here pointed out to me. Nice bike (stickers aside ) GLWS
Cheers, what's the story with the carbon bodywork mentioned? I might be there looking at bidding on a 2 stroke
Cheers, it was my phone not loading the photo clearly - I can see the engine number now on my lap top
Folks, Falloon's Standard Catalogue lists 199 916S Monos as a separate entry with confirmation in a number of books on the bike, all built in 94. The entire Strada production of 2,663 in 94 was at Varese but total 916 production in 94 was 3,196 which included quite a few hundred MY94 bips. He states frame numbers as all beginning with ZDM916S and the first number in sequence was 000001 for all 916 variants as I believe is normal for Ducati. A 'B' was added to the frame number after the 'S' from 97. Of interest is the four 916s made in 1993, the first four bikes built, I wonder where they are?
i really like it.... so Rhino did you win it at brooklands earlier this year? how many keepers on the v5?
