Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Grahamducati, Oct 23, 2024.

  1. How badly rounded; would a set of wall drive sockets get them out?

  2. I'm happy to discuss what you'd be happy to pay if you were in the market, i just don't know how to PM

  3. it's possible that you haven't posted enough to be able to PM yet (on here it's called "start a conversation":)) but @ibgarrow can PM you instead.

  4. Done

  5. Doesn't look great, could do with taking the cases off both sides, there's a lot of 'stuff' that go go wrong behind the clutch and stator covers, and 'could' be a relatively easy fix. If there's nothing untoward found then is likely going to be top or bottom end, which is more involved. I'd have to find out what's gone wrong before confining it to the scrap heap.

  6. Flakes on the sump plug would suggest it’s damaged inside the side covers.

  7. Could be anything, aluminium flakes won’t stick to the magnet so, there could be more in the gauze or main oil filter. I think he said the noise lessened when the clutch was pulled in, could be clutch, gearbox, who knows, we’re all just guessing. I really hope it’s repairable though.
