"change this change that change bike!!!!!!!! has the mech checked stuff like does the cdi ign system work properly like does the ign system "advance" like it should?? due to a bad connection of failed advance stator etc etc etc check stuff before you change stuff as if its going out of fashion." That told you!
Good point about the advance/retard not working correctly though. I have no idea how that function operates, if it's a mechanical advance unit you should be able to have a look and see if it's stuck and not working correctly.

Did you sell it Lucas? Good point about the exhaust valve closing up and causing the symptoms you have on the workshop forum!
