In truth none of those have any place in life! I just don't get the first one & why some think it's OK, the latter 2 are dressed up as serving others when in fact they are self serving, either financially or egotistically or both.
What! Politics and religion are by far the most interesting and important topics there are. I only come on the forum because politics and religion sometimes get discussed. If there's to be no discussion of politics or religion, I'll quit this forum and join a more interesting one ...
Who cares what the topic is, as long as it is enjoyable and not ruined by single-cell morons who use the F-word as their first language. Personally, I couldn't think of anything more boring than talking about motorbikes all day; they're fun to ride but beyond tedium to talk about.
I thought the whole point of the Lounge section was to discuss all those things that have no place on a bike forum. I don't get this: the topic doesn't interest you, you don't read it or participate in it. God knows that applies to most of the topics on here as far as I am concerned. But I don't care: I let those who are interested get on with it. Why should every thread be interesting for everyone? As for not discussing religion: it's about time we all stopped pussyfooting around with this holy cow. It's a fairy story and someone needs to say so. You don't want to hear it - don't read it. And politics? Why should that be more holy than Stoner vs Rossi? The point of any thread should be discussion and the opposing of conflicting viewpoints. If we all sit about agreeing with each other, what's the point of that? I'll just read a good book.
