Re flashing to DP spec to suit the pipes I never received the DP ecu when I bought the pipes ( second hand) so I was told by ducati Manchester it's best getting original ecu reflashed to DP spec
Yeah, he also disables the o2 sensors and the flapper valve motor so you can pull all that out as well.... Not sure if he increases the top end rpm by 500 as well... ( he did that on mine when it had a custom tune)
What are the benefits of increasing rpm by 500? isn't there more chance of blowing the thing up? sorry if I haven't got a clue but I just thought the limiter was to protect the engine?
So rich at louigi tells me.... "the engine can take a lot more than that.... They're bulletproof" - the whole custom tune was like a night and day change.... Best money I've ever spent.
The o2 sensors and exhaust valve are both removed in the DP full system ECU. The rev limit is also changes in the DP full system map as the power curve changes from a sharp cut-off to a tail-off, and allows you to make better use of the engine power.
My tank is the CA Cycleworks one BrassFlute quoted. It was fitted for me by Hertfordshire Superbikes at the same time as a service. They ordered it in. I now get over 200 miles out of a tank, usually about 225m.
Ooh yea forgot to mention, yea went really well, spot on in fact, sent it off to Chris, he charged me £135 for it, came back few days later superb
