Before I start this is a personal opinion. I sat on one in Riders in Bristol while I was waiting for my hyper to be MOT'd. While im not too keen on the front of the bike I prefer the rear end - that looks really nice, Ive never really liked monsters as a whole but Id say the newest one is the best looking. The one I sat on was a demo, had done just over 500 miles and the fixings were going chalky already - so be prepared to spend a lot on stainless and titanium fixings to stop it corroding. Also take care of cleaning the engine whenever possible as the paint is only held on by the atmosphere...my hyper has had most of the fixings replaced (id say about 90% or so) and a shed load of stuff powdercoated to stop the corrosion. On a plus point when I did sit on it the riding position felt really good, very comfortable. Having said all of that like you I came from Jap inline 4's (last bike before ducati ownership was a z1000). Bit apprehensive at first but now I don't think I could be without one, id love a 1098 streetfighter to go with my RSV4 but im more than happy with my 1100evo.
Hi Jon, Welcome to the forum. I live in Herts as well and occasionally meet up with Timonspeed who is also based locally. I have a Hyper 1100 and he has just bought a Multistrada. Will let you know when we next arrange a ride if you're interested. Cheers, Moses.
Cool - will let you know when we next arrange a ride. Tim and I have only managed to both make the same day a couple of times so let us know if you're planning something. Cheers, Moses.
Look forward to it buddy. I'm away until 8th December. But would love to sort something out when I get back mate. Jon
