Home Anodising?

  2. Question, guys: What can i use as anode? I read somewhere that it has to be exactly the same alloy as the part in question. Most parts are a mix of alloys, not just aluminum. Is any of this relevant?
    i want to use your technique to anodize the triples, clipons, foot pegs, and various other stuff.

  3. You use the part you want to anodise as the anode (+) side ;)

    For the cathode - the part that is the sacrificial source for the anode - you can use either lead or aluminium.
    I didn't have any lead scraps to hand so I used some aluminium instead.
    There are pros and cons to both, but I used what I had to hand instead of spending more money.
