  1. Adie, sent you a PM which I hope you have received and find useful.

  2. I have one of the earliest multis - it's a June 2010. I'm trying hard to be subjective here and it's true it has had it's fair number of issues which coming from a Honda has had me a bit peeved at times. Seems like Ducati had us doing the QA for them, I also think they cut a few corners in the quality dept. Having said all that it is the best bike I've ever owned and I can't think of another bike I'd rather have, my pillion would agree!

  3. Mark, I had a 2010 base model for 2 years and covered 9k miles and then couldn't resist the 1199 when I said I would never have another sports bike. I loved the multi, I wished it was a little smaller, the rear brake was always a bit crap but I only ever use it for holding the bike on a slope. The only issue I had was ghost lighting on the clocks which were swapped out under warranty, no probs right on the 2 year mark.
Now I love the Panigale, the looks, the sound, every ride is an occasion. But, I'm changing it for another multi as I've missed the ability to trundle in traffic at 40mph whilst looking at the scenery, I've missed the ability to strap a bag on the back and travel loads of miles and get off fresh, and I feel my license will be safer as will my life as I lack self control at times. I'm sure I will miss the Panigale, but only 10% of the time and will love the multi 90% of the time. I too read issues people report on here and feel a little concerned, but remember forums are the same the world over, people shout loud when they have a problem and rarely go on forums to praise a product. I will be keeping the Pikes Peak for some time as I cant afford to keep chopping and changing and I'm confident Ducati warranty will look after any issues and hopefully it will prove to be reliable once the warranty has expired. Fingers crossed....

  4. Mark,
I love mine, great fast, powerful V twin. Lumpy at the bottom end (which twin isnt) build quality can be suspect (have you seen the Yamaha FZ8 and Kwak1000sx), recals galore (havent had one on my 2010 model). Had to cure the lean running with a solid state adition to the bikes electrics but after that the bike makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck.

Due to divorce I am selling mine as I cannot aford to keep the bike and the wife happy. You are welcome to have a look and a test ride if you want to test one up close without the dealer pressure.

Mine is a 2010 Touring S with Ohlin suspension and panniers. Red of course. Only 5000 miles. £10.250
