Horse Encounter

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Fanous, Sep 9, 2024.

  1. If the rider is a young fittie, nice and slow, clutch in, vehicle on tickover

If the rider is either my sister or her daughter, hopefully on my 996 or my K5, at full chat, and fast

  5. My vehicle has to be roadworthy before I take it on the public highway so any animal being ridden that is untrained for the potential hazards should not be there.
Having said that I regard my own self preservation and the safety of my vehicle above all else so I assess the hazard and act accordingly. If it means slowing right down or stopping then that's what I will do.
The fact that they can get away with leaving piles of steaming shit on the road when they could easily carry a small shovel and a bag is what really pisses me off.
Talking of Piss, I have never seen a puddle of horse Piss on the road, does it evaporate like Brake Cleaner or do they only shit when not at home?

  6. Both of which existed before motorised transport.

And roads were actually created for horses.

There’s no reason we can’t share toads, with a little respect and courtesy. A bit like life in general, really.

  11. Well if you asked Tudicus Giganticus, a Roman legionnaire in the East Anglia landings of AD43, the roads were for running from Canterbury to Londinium to find & fight early Cockneys!

  18. I believe plump is the more polite way to describe a chubster, very much under used word in the modern age IMHO.
