New Info The area that has been set aside for the bikes at Hop Oast is P and Q, Ray Watson will be your contact at Hop Oast, Could we please ask you to reassemble into your groups at this point, we are asking this of you as the new time window that we have been given to have all the bikes through Horsham Bus Station is only 22 min’s. Thanking you for yore Help. Fred
Thinking of registering to come along on my Monster, but just had a couple of quick questions After we all parade into the town centre and park up there, are we "stuck" until the official end of proceedings or if we need to sneak off early, can you get out easily? (Never having been, I don't know whether all the cars and bikes are crammed into a small parking area, hemmed in by other vehicles). And if not, when's the official close of play? Second, for the ride in from Motori di Marino, is it possible to make sure I'm in the slow group? (Bit afraid that they'd lump all the Ducatis together - don't fancy trying to keep up with the fast boys on 1098s and Panigales!)
Unless the plan has changed for this year, you can get away whenever you need to. Equally, the run in from W Chiltington isn't a race....just a pleasant little ride to the meeting point at Hop Oast car park. No doubt some of the organising types will help out on the day. Keeping everything crossed for a dry day with temperatures somewhere above freezing
Hi MrsC_772 As Keninsessex has said the ride out is a nice ride in the Sussex county side, and the way I read it the the West Sussex Advanced Motorcycle Group have offered to lead the ride out, so you will be in a group of may be 15/20 bikes or less, when you get to Hop Oast Park and Ride just park up in the Ducati group, you could try and get to the front for the ride into Horsham, when you get into Town I will try and park you so that if you need to leave you can do so, as for the time that it will end it should be some time around 15.30/16.00hrs. Hope you have a great day Fred
The Kent group are aiming to be at Box Hill for 0800-0815, with everyone leaving Box Hill around 0830
there's a question mark on my health as of today unfortunately so hope someone appears at Boxhill to lead the way if I can't make it. Here is a straightforward route (not the shortest) to remember if all else fails (as outlined earlier in this thread) :- http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr...yka&gl=uk&mra=dpe&mrsp=1&sz=12&via=1&t=m&z=11
Fired off an e-mail to register - just waiting for confirmation back from Jilly. Will make my way to West Chiltington direct - A283 is the obvious route for me - rather than rendezvous at Box Hill.
Boo! Not coming then! Registration details requested, 12 degC and sunny booked, see what happens! See ya Friday if registration is successful............................................. KarlosFandango AKA MrWhite
Hi Chris sorry to read that you are a bit under the weather hope you feel better soon. I hope you have all now received all the forms for this event, if not then try Jilly again. Fred
Just to tidy up a few points - bikes will be able to leave the display area in Horsham after 3pm when we have the 'Start your engines' call (should rattle a few windows!) Until then, the area will be pedestrianised and bikes should remain static. If anyone needs to move before then, please contact either Fred or myself so that we can make arrangements with the traffic management team. Thank you. Weather forecast is looking good for Friday - so look forward to seeing you at Motori Di Marino, enjoy the event, let's raise lots of money for the 2 charities - and everyone have a great day!
Can do Hugh, it's only a coupla miles away or so from W Chiltington but can meet up there and run in with you. Will get back to you with time, but reckon about 9. Cheers K
