How Do You Justify Owning A Bike ?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by tricolore, Aug 8, 2014.

  1. Justify!? I was told to buy it!!! At first I thought it was the voices in my head but then I realised she was actually saying it and being serious.

  2. I lost my job 4 months ago and sold both my bikes. Could I 'justify' owning them ? I don't know but I lost all the interest and passion. Can't explain how I felt I just couldn't bring myself to ride them without having a job. Have to say it was a strange feeling.

Have been offered a job today and already looking on auto trader :)

  5. Im having a job holding on to the third.... Its only the fact that its not roadworthy that ive still got it.... But i reckon when its done i "should" be able to.... After all she has another holiday to book soon...

  6. Don't know what I want - feel like going mad and buying new but with my mileage that's daft ...... watch this space !

  7. i'm getting fed up with driving standards and road rage living on the edge of London its become quite dangerous ..a big near miss yesterday is making me think hard about this question ....2 mates good riders have crashed this week uhmm i will see how i feel in a week

  8. New 899 on Tri-options see how the job goes. You can always give it back, its not about the miles, its about the smiles :upyeah:

  9. How about this, quoted today by BMW on a second hand Diavel Carbon new model, can't remember the exact numbers but something like this.

    Price £13495
    40% deposit
    £9.79/ month for 28 months
    balance at the end £8998.00

Can't get my head round that ? ........ £9.79 month

Ducati always do their PCP on 36 months, surely over 24 months is better as the residual value is much higher but they won't let you.

  10. Diavel, hmm, not sure on that :Bag:, however, you need to send your salesman to school, those figures are err, interesting :)

  11. Got a multistrada to replace Buell S1WL, GS & Aprilia DD1200 - it does the job of all 3 + more room in the garage now ! :)
