Currently a 199S Tri, awaiting DVT I reckon 3 bikes is a good, sensible number though. 1) A sports bike (I live by the Peak District so this is law) 2) A two-up mile-muncher, with somewhere to put your gear when you've reached a destination. 3) A pub bike.
Harley fatbob with V&H stage 1 f700gs every day bike, swapping for a multi standard with touring pack if I can make my mind up to go into debt again!
I can see me going down the Dave route (kudos there, sir). I have a bit of a 911 habit but the traffic is so horrendous now, despite the fantastic local driving roads, that I'm using it less than is optimal. Flogging that would free up a fair bit of dosh for some more bikes. Hmmm… Right now though, I'm on: 2002 ST4s: 55k miles up, owned from and running like new. the response and finesse of the 996 engine make me weep - the new machines are blunt instruments in comparison. Couldn't bring myself to part with it. 2004 749R: 7k miles, because I've always wanted one and think that the Terreblanche design is ageing very well. Can't use it on track though as the 57mm ti Termi hits way too much decibelage. 2010 MTS1200S: 12k miles, fairly heavily tweaked to suit me and would be a completely brilliant machine if it weren't so badly finished. Least reliable Ducati I've ever owned from new. In my future I'm thinking thoughts like a DVT (once we know how well they're making them), MV Turismo Veloce, KTM 1290 Duke GT or possibly going left field for an Ariel Ace (with the girder forks of course). And I've already got my eye out for an '02 748R.

I currently have 6 bikes. (1) Ducati 600ss. It is in lovely condition with less than 8K miles on it. Seldom use it but couldn't part with it. (2) Ducati ST2. Don't use it much as the next one on the list has taken the need. (3) Ducati M750 Monster. In 54 years of riding this may well be the best all round bike thaqt I have owned. (4) Ducati 748. Because there are time that I need to be a hooligan (5) Velocette KSS racer. I don't use it at all now but it reminds me of my well spent youth. (6) Aremacchi 250cc racer. Reasons as (5)

That's the club I am in, but would like to add a few more, if only had the cash. 1) 749R - 2004 model of course 2) 2012 - BMW K1300S - endless power even when two up with luggage. Comfy and great handling. 99% of miles done with Mrs 749er on board and feels weird when I am on my own. 3) 2013 Triumph Thruxton with quite a few performance mods for scratching about. Would love another Desmo and interested in a Ducati Scrambler.
