How Much Did Your Ducati Cost You In 2014

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by tricolore, Jan 8, 2015.

  1. Ah the wife knows...
But since I pay and collect her hay on the truck every month and the feed for the horses, she has no cause for complaint when I spend a bit on the bikes....

  2. Wives...!!
I can get my hair cut for a year on what one visit to "Toni and Guy" costs.
    10 minutes and I'm done...she gets a real coffee and 2-3 hours...so great value!!

  3. I notice a lot of other halves have horses - I find the bike cheaper , would have both but spent 15 years working with the blighters kinda did me in

  4. she tells me they don't cost jack.

  6. £140 insurance
    £80 tax
£85 lightly used supercorsa tyres off ebay
    £50 cleaning products
    £10 Motul 300V 1 litre
    £?? Petrol

Think I sold around £1500 of ducati spares i had knocking around which paid for the above and a nice new Lanvin leather jacket.Next year will be the same but add a belt service and clutch overhaul but already got the spares cheap for this.Wouldnt mind a STM slave cylinder also or go back to standard.

Even without buying bling it still aint that cheap though as need a new helmet and gloves and set of winter boots soon. When I was improving my bike with performance parts and putting plenty of miles on it all yr round a crack habit would have been cheaper.

  7. At some point that guy with SL is gonna post and make everyone else's spend look like pocket change.

  9. Than getting married......you are going to get a lot of agreement on here.

  10. I budget £4000 to run both the track and road bikes not including track day costs. Including European and UK track day costs I probably spend nearer £10000. Andy

  11. just asked the wife, she is more keen on telling me how much my sisters four cost, £500 a month,:Wtf::Wtf::Wtf::Wtf::Wtf:.
hers cost less than 50 a month for all three, including shoeing but there only wee biggest being 12hands or somefing.
up shot now that i know she has three well, you know what that means dont you. :Woot::smile:

  12. Fair play to you! It makes my recent full belt and valve service on my 1198 and current full service on the Monster look like peanuts!
    I bow to your efforts!

  13. -£2000 or so as they appear to have gone up in value :)

  14. prob around 7k, and i didnt ride it...................................

  17. on the 748, over 8k but less than 10 (i think) but it didnt cost me anything over basic running costs and services for 4ish years prior to taking off the road so i think she earned it..

  18. A set of golf bats and a couple of rounds would cost you more. Put it to her that way.

Ask to see the receipts for her shoes and hand bags while you're at it.
