Yes that's right - the VCA approval, sent with the 'standard' 51 point CoC did the trick. It will be interesting to see if your modded CoC will suffice without the VCA approval.

A modified C of C issued by Ducati Italy via Ducati UK was finally approved by the DVLA, yes.
