Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by comesunt, Mar 9, 2015.

  1. To measure wheel speed for speedo.

  2. Track bike tho, so dtc maybe?

  3. @comesunt which battery did you buy?
Are these the the type that require a special charger?

  4. Yep, wheel sensor is for speedo, but I need it for traction control...

@Nelson I got my lithium battery off carbon quest. They recommended a special charger, so i got one... I've seen teh charger for sale at a simliar price; but seen the battery for sale for less

I had an alternative lithium battery for my 748. I can't recall where i got it from; but my 748 lithium seemed to spin the motor up much faster then the original. The unit form Carbon Quest does not spin it so fast... I'll try to find a link to my 748 battery; but I'm just in from the pub so that might be a while ;-)

  5. @Mr.R thanks for reply...
As I don't ever really use the rear; heat shouldn't be an issue...
So I'm guessing that I can drill fewer, bigger holes and be ok??
    Thanks,
    Bob

  6. i have drilled discs before and never noticed any substancial heat imput , opening up the orig holes should have virtually no heat imput at all,, providing it is done properlly , on most drilling machines there is a coolant feed anyway

  7. my mate is a precision engineer and has made aluminium rear disks for a top tt racer, he doesn't use his rear brake but it has to be there hence aluminium......at end of races its still intact and unused.
