It will come off together if you can't get the front pipe out of the cat unit - it's fiddly but it can be done. Once you've done it once the next time's a doddle ;-)
Well its off, new one on, not certain it really 'fits' underneath but got to bolt everything back together then give it a start. If its not blowing, next job the diy fix on the flapper. If cant get that working its just going to have the light on And then give it all a good clean while its off and back together
Its a danmoto jobbie, the kind chap also gave me a mivv end can which allegedly came off a multi (he didnt fit it) and there is no way it fits this bike.
Tightened, tested, feck me its louder! And thats std can...although I know the baffling is in the cat on these. Just need to find a way of making sure the cable fix works (after I've found a way of doing it) and back together
No, that is absolutely definitely wrong. I removed the cat on my 2011 Multi without removing the front pipe. You do have to remove the rear wheel, but that's a lot easier than removing the front pipe.
Here goes, all done, loooooud and beefy sound, seems to work, took out and up to 9k and no light anywhere, kinda sorted for now but ne a can as it looks terrible and only one screw sits the outer shroud now on the end can....and for @andyb a couple of pics showing I still have that style of getting around things
Well tested today, albeit slower and not much action thru the revs. First impressions? Seems more blow than go, as the noise is so much deeper and louder. Cruising at 90 its still thumping away. But actually not that much 'louder' according to a mate who heard before and after when you take the ride round the block test Not sure if it will stay like this..
