Multi is a 63 plate with 2k on the clock. I see where you are coming from with only 3 miles per day - I'm about 10 so not huge but somehow I feel happy using the multi for commuting including in the wet whereas the hyper never saw a wet day in its life so commuting was a no. All in the mind I guess but nice to be back on the bike every day.
That's why I've got the 3.....rsv4 for the tt, Weston bike night, motor, days out etc etc.....zed for everyday dry use. Kim for the shitty weather if I have to go out....but the ktm is uber resistant to the elements....There's not a bit of bare pig iron on there, everything going is stainless, titanium or coated....so no matter what it gets caught in a quick jet wash and it's clean. If it's really bad....Toyota IQ.....
