Without starting an argument I could have gotten an 821 but decided against it as they've moved the torque further up the rev range... I like the fact that on the air cooled it's all down the bottom... Sent from Tablet
Yeah , that's what I like about the 1100 the grunt , just interested to see if anyone had a blast on the 939 just to see what there about . Not looking to sell the 1100 though like it to much
Can't wait to get it back together but I think I'll have to take it apart a bit more.... May as well get the powder coating done while it's apart... Sent from Tablet
More top level nerdery in the garage this afternoon - removed the front headlight mask, light and gotten to the guide that holds the brake lines, also taken the front rocker cover heads off to be coated. Have to pay the stainless steel fittings bloke a visit this week as ive ran out of most of what I have in the garage... Refitted the rear pegs as on the way home Tuesday I managed to pretty well melt through the heel of my right boot....
Ordered front hel lines (one down and over)... Nothings turned up yet but hopefully stuff will start to appear tomorrow.. Oven is broken at the plastic coaters so will have to wait til the end of the week for the coating to be ready...
I promise I won't mention KTM again, I think when it's done you need to roll by, you always seem to be superb with your bikes, and this one becoming a minter again, well done
Yeah... I'm working on it... Problem is I spend my life buying tyres! Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Having said that the lines going to the rad were black... They've come up very well... Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Two hours fettling tonight.... Starting to look better.... Taken all the pvc electrical tape off the loom and used the correct canvas stuff... Studs are now in.... Cleaned up the tank and taken all the plated fittings off and replaced with stainless.. Cleaned the oil lines on the rad and replaced the running light with some led modules... Still waiting for the main bulb to appear... Otherwise starting to look as i would expect... More updates tomorrow if stuff arrives or the coaters fix their oven...
Yep. I like it plus it's all lacquered.... I did think about hunting for stock panels just for the sake of it but the pipes won't fit. I reckon it looks pretty trick. Sent from Tablet
When winter comes round again I may drop my bike with you comfy and you can do some fettling on it , coz I know you likes it doing it just for the hell of it .... I may even pay you for it .......
Therapy Lee that's what it is... Therapy... Makes a nice change from messing around with servers and software day in day out.... I've got a ballast here and a hid light which I'm toying with fitting although if i did I'd have to cut the back of the headlight bulb cover out... Not sure yet... Have to think about it... More goodies arrived today.....cylinder head nuts (titanium) - there wasn't much difference between that and stainless.... Front Hel line with a loop over (trying to keep the clutter down behind the headlight, plus I wont need the brake line guide that bolts to the yoke.
Bit more completed tonight.... Stahlbus sump bolt fitted, oil and filter changed. Nuts didn't fit the head wrong thread... Bummer. Have to return. Front Brake lines and heated grips tomorrow.
Yarp.... Brilliant they are got one on my zed... Oil drain valves - Bleeding brakes - simply intelligent oil change, leakfree disconnect lines! Our solution: The stahlbus Bleeder Valve, the stahlbus Oil drain valve and the stahlbus Quick disconnect coupling. Once fitted you never have to take the sump bolt out... Twisted a Allen Key socket getting the old one out... That and the oil filter were torqued up way to far... Sent from Tablet
It's Saturday.... More shitty fixings come off... Heres the pile so far... Hel front line fitted.... Calipers stripped and cleaned.... Stainless rear sprocket bolts fitted too... See Hopefully more stuff getting fitted next week...
