  1. The hel line on the front is in all fairness a bit short...ill contact them on Monday about this....apparently they migrated their site and not everything got carried over correctly so I had to give them the loop over length as theirs was about a metre or so....it could really do with being a few inches longer....

  2. More fettling this evening... Starting to come together... Coaters fixed the oven...

Not a brilliant pic and pretty well all of it you'll never see but... When it gets caked in shite it'll be easier to clean and it won't corrode...
Oh... Didn't get a photo (forgot) but changed the bulb for one of those replacement white bulbs.... Kind of a halfway house between a stock bulb and a full Hid.... Seems to be better...

  3. Bike currently sitting at CJS. Just about to go on the Dyno (when Chris makes it in) - think he was planning on having a few jars last night....ill be heading over there early afternoon to shoot some nerdy video of the tank being emptied.

  4. Tank currently being emptied....he's never mapped this exhaust before so it should be interesting to see what the result is...

  5. Not got the actual reading (he's going to mail it to me) but 92 bhp is where it ended up. Reality: Riding home like a new bike...no popping and banging...o2 sensors out unplugged the ducee, starts on the button. Ticks over perfectly. Very pleased.

  6. I'll throw up video in a bit...

  7. Do Velocity stacks add much in real world riding terms ???

Tempted to get some before getting mine tuned...

  8. More grunt if you can imagine that... More mid range grunt... I would have but for 2 things... 1. Cost 2. Availability.... I was dead lucky last time to find someone who had a second hand set. Never seen a set since...

  11. Ha ha ha yeah I know that feeling :D

  12. Fettling continues. Just about to measure the rear brake line (may have a spare hel line). Been out on it this morning post dyno work....still died once so still something to look for....

  13. Well...that was a stroke of luck...the line they made too small for the front fitted the rear perfectly...

Cleaned up the rear caliper and gave the heat shield under the swingarm a scrub also...

All in all a productive afternoon...sort out the indicator speed tomorrow with some resistors...

  14. No pics today (so far) but had the suspension set up correctly for my weight (a portly 15 stone) and also fitted a new Michelin 2ct on the rear. The front was/is a 2ct and had loads of life left in it and the rear was an old Dunlop which was on the wear limit, squared off and had a slow puncture so got a new matching rear put on. Only cost 100 quid all in to be fitted to a loose wheel so nice and cheap also. Ive got a load of part worn tyres of different types in the garage so ill be going through them steadily across the hyper and the zed. With the money ive spent I thought I could at least do with some sort of economy drive plus I get to try different types of tyres also (something which is a nice thing to do) Ive read god knows how many bullshit tyre reviews about how you can get 8k of a set of tyres etc etc (personally ive never got more than 3k out of anything in 25 years but what do I know eh) but really for me, actually trying them yourself is the only way...

  15. Yeah I used to get sucked in to all the tyre reviews and when it comes to tyres everyone has an opinion.
I just chuck it on and ride it, if it's shite I won't buy it next time

  16. Agreed.....Everyone raved about Bridgetones and Pirellis but I don't get on with them but love Michelins

  17. Absolutely....I think my biggest gripe yet is with the m7rr....no one tyre has been "bigged up" so much to me and to end up being absolutely crap...I really thought I was on my own when I started the thread in the tyres section as I was so disappointed with it...not only that I tried the actual same set of tyres on 2 completely different bikes with the same results...gimlet has also said the same thing...in fact I think his wear speed was even faster than mine...(he's on the wear limiters at just over 1.5k) my first rear m7rr went to about 2.2k when it needed changing...

Ive not even scrubbed in the 2ct on the rear and it already feels better than the metzeler and its an old tyre as well...

  18. For me the absolute best is the supercorsa but I'm not rich enough to fit it to all my bikes plus, the only downside of them is theyre nigh on dangerous in the wet...but, I don't ride in the wet (unless I get caught out) so not really an issue...

  19. Yep - not really tried Michelins ever....these 2ct's are the first thing ive ever used....ill either be going for something Dunlop based on the zed or....my mate just fitted a set of rosso III's to his Dorso 1200 which he likes...
