Ive had Pilot powers, Pilot power 3's and Pilot Road 4s on my last few bikes after taking off Rosso Diabolo 2s BT014s and Supercorsas as I use my bike everyday I go through them quickly....Pilot Road 4 has more than enough grip for road riding and my rear centre on my last bike still looked like new after 2000 mile (CBR600RR) I love the nice rounded profile giving a progressive turn in....Don't like pointy profiles where you drop into a corner I saw a mini review of a ZX10R on pilot road 3s somewhere....... Michelin Pilot Road 3 1800-mile tyre review - Product features - Visordown and one off a KTM on road 4s Michelin Pilot Road 4: 500-mile tyre review - Product features - Visordown
I'm not really a good enough rider to give a detailed analysis on tyre performance and feel...to me its either "good" or "shit" the hyper is now a resounding "good!" with the suspension now set up correctly and a couple of decent matched tyres...
Can't help it... Need to post more pics.... Been out in the sun out the front all afternoon washing cars, bikes, fettling etc etc... New tyre on the rear, right angled valve fitted also.... Its the little things...
And so it continues....actually this time is kinda a freebie...I phoned Hel to order a clutch line for mine. He replied and said that they don't actually have a size for one but stated that if I sent mine then they would keep it and then send a replacement hel line out for free....needless to say its already in the post....also ordered a stainless banjo bolt with bleeder also. So, thatll be the clutch sorted out...although ive gotta confess I'm starting to eye up a slipper unit... Surprising actually but ive got the same angle going with my z1000 - samco don't offer a kit for mine but said if I send all my pipework off to them then they'll fabricate a new set of samco hoses and then send them to me buck-shee - the only thing is the beg zed will have to come off the road for a couple of months (the time they quote) - but seems worth it for 200 quids worth of free bling...
Clutch line turned up today (for free) I might add! so that should be going on tonight....next fettling instalment will be the strip down of the front fork (LH) to replace a shot fork seal (I say shot but its only ever so slight) but its only going to get worse but I cant start it til ive got the correct fork driver tool which will have to wait til the end of the month...
Oh yeah... Roadlok fitted courtesy of the group buy... I notice they emboss the logo on the back now....
YouTube .... fork seal buddy I've just bought a Multistrada that had a leaking fork seal ...quite a lot, £4 for fork seal buddy and it's sorted has not leaked a drop , no residue , dry as gandhis flip flop , would never of believed it , just had to top the leg up with oil , all without removing the leg off the bike .
I saw those....! I came to the conclusion they were witchcraft.... Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Worked ok on my GSXR a few weeks back. I ended up lifting the front end up to get the weight off the forks as oil was coming out under the weight of the bike.
With the Spring out its a measurement from the top of the tube 130 mm down before you touch the free surface of oil
When it's on centre stand with nose down the forks are not vertical but not far off , I Carnt see a few cc's more or less making a big difference , when I measured it before I topped up I was getting down to 270mm before I touched the oil surface , it didn't take alot to get it to 130 mm measurement . The forks do have a more plush feel now but it's not a night and day thing by any means
If you go on gsxr forums has anyone done them by oil height measurement , sometimes its by the total cc's that the leg holds so only way it to remove leg and drain and refill , with oil height you can top up say for instance of a weeping seal without the need to take legs out
