Hypermotard + Clake One Light Clutch

Discussion in 'Hypermotard' started by Jack Prior, Apr 15, 2019.

  1. That sounds like a lot of hassle for a lighter clutch, I hope it makes your commute a bit easier and proves to be good long term.

  2. What did you do with clutch switch mounting?

  3. Good question, we just cable tied it to the bike and left it hanging, couldn't work out what it was used for at all. You don't need it to start the engine and the bike seems to ride fine without

  4. I would have thought that you should not be able to start the bike in gear with the clutch switch disconnected? Got any pictures of it installed?

  5. yeah that might be it, not a big deal to get into neutral first though. To actually try and install the clutch switch would require welding on the pin to activate it which is probably beyond the scope of this project.

I did start trying to do a video of the install but after it tooks 4 hours I thought it wasn't worth it. Will take some photos when I can.

  6. if it is not operating the bike has a setting for you not being able to rev it flat out in neutral (it will think it is) so probably get a feeling of hitting the rev limiter at quite low revs (5500rpm ish)
have seen it before with ASV levers not fitted with the adapter
