Out for an early morning coffee ride with a mate and his V4S SF - around twice the power of my poor little HM!
Some fresh pics, almost ready for the season This winter's mods: -DP carbon wiring cover -CNC Racing alternator check cover -CNC Racing breather valve -keyless RFID ignition, ignition switch deleted -DP Ergal rear sprocket -SSR billet side stand + Ti hardware + carbon spring clip -Podium Racing Ti rear axle nuts + security pins -nylon/carbon throttle cam -billet levers -Brembo .484 front calipers
Saw these bracket/ heel guards on the press bike when the 950 first came out. I thought they were going to release it but it never made to production even after 3 years. Parts are made with a 3D printer then wrapped with carbon fiber to reinforce the parts then painted. I'm waiting to see if a friend can help me out with cnc part. That would be more solid.
Due to the right side hand-guard being a bit beat-up and bodged back together by a previous owner I have fitted some bar end mirrors and mini LED indicators (both eBay cheapies) so I can look in to fixing up the dodgy guard. Looks like the fix will just require a second mortgage to pay the extortionate prices Ducati want for replacements! Initially I fitted some resistors but found the flash rate was really slow so this morning I removed those and much better. My theory is that due to the AviaCompositi tail unit with its LED indicators, the indicator wiring system already has resistors fitted so the ones I fitted were too much. As for the mirrors, they are fairly small but I see no less than I did with the OEMs which shook/vibrated like hell. Took it out for a ride this morning and it did feel a bit odd without the guards and the steering did feel a bit lighter BUT that might just be a psychological thing!?
Hey mate, where did you get that tail tidy/fender eliminator, and what do you for indicators? I have an 08 1100S with the same Termi 2-into-1 system and it relocates the indicators.. right in to the path of my boot whenever I get on the bike. I need to find a way to protect them, or relocate them somewhere else
It is a tail unit from AviaCompositi, the indicators are incorporated beside the tail light (more than a bit illegal here I have to admit!) Be warned that the tail unit isn’t cheap!
See this picture. They're on a bracket (not sure if OEM Ducati or not) but it leaves the indicators very exposed: I've accidentally broken them both as you can see..
Nice, really like them in white. On the day I bought my 1100, that afternoon I was meant to be going to finalise a deal on a white HM939 but that morning the 1100 popped up for sale so went to look at that on my way - was as far as I got
New to me 821SP PS no white on it, just the reflection. I’ve not seen that colour combination elsewhere.
