First step in modifying the rear end of my bike - new number plate Due to the AviaCompositi combined brake/indicator lights being virtually impossible to see on a sunny day a re-working is about to take place now that I have all the required parts here (well I hope I have - watch this space as the saying goes!) Went a new plate as over here there are two widths, the original being the wider one whereas I need the narrower version. It was possible to cancel/transfer the old number over but I decided that was too much hassle so just went with something different. The Old:- The New:-
Nice. Been keeping an eye out for a SC exhaust like this to replace my underseat Termi but not easy to find secondhand (I believe you've have both?) I also prefer the 'single' SC to the equivalent Termi so might go for that instead
Just when I thought I was pretty much finished 'blinging' my bike, these popped up on my radar - 'Hammerhead' CNC'd gear/brake levers
That's not bling. THESE are bling: https://www.satoracingstore.com/store/p/rearsets-d-multirs Were $1000+ but no longer made so a few sets available in gold at a mere $780 (plus shipping, VAT, custom fees... Oh bugger indeed
$149USD for the pair from Hammerhead themselves - plenty of colour combinations available. They are on a clearance/run-out sale so once gone that’ll be it.
Their freight is not the cheapest (tho mine were to Australia) BUT offsetting that is the fact the kit is so cheap to begin with! (oddly it is now cheaper to buy the pair over a single lever - a friend just needed the one but went with both) https://hdmoto.com/moto/ducati-1100-hypermotard1100s-multistrada-combo-kit
You are right - tho' I was actually referring to the Sato rearsets, link buried in my reply (which I had stuffed up slightly - now amended). Good find and a bargain at $150, even with crappy exchange rate and carriage
From yesterday's group ride - the first time I have seen a pic of me riding it, hadn't realised how small I make my bike look! (I am 6'1" tall)
Bit of a Christmas present for my bike: whilst they are still available to buy I bought a Db Killer for my Termi 2-1 exhaust - just in case I ever need it to keep plod happy! Fitted it but not ridden it since, odds are that I will take it out again though and stash it away in the shed.
Makeover time - have gone for a new look with CF bodywork and a graphics kit and a couple more CF bits, belt and front sprocket covers.
