That is so far away from my intentions... some will find it funny as intended, some will frown and believe I am being derogatory towards them. We had a Manager at work who was my partner in crime so to speak (Dave) we also had Gas Generation plants for a manufacturing process that had been out of commission for a couple of years. We had Polish workers who had been slacking a little with their work. Dave told them one day he would turn the gas generation plant on again if they didn't book their ideas up. At the time he was dying of terminal cancer (had fought it for years) but was back at work anyway. He said to me what are they going to do if someone complains sack me, they can't sack me as I'm black and a lesbian and dying of cancer... He wasn't black, he wasn't a lesbian, but he was dying of cancer - he did two weeks later. The Polish loved him as did everyone, it's called humour - some people don't think so... but some do, so I couldn't give a toss if someone misunderstands - simply because they have miss understood...
Yes, I like to jump to conclusions though - you would know this if you had been on here longer  and I really don't mean to upset anyone so just saying with an example...
£200-300 is loads of money in bike terms, something like this in Stoke on trent, United Kingdom - photo by nickhayllor - Pinkbike
Also go to your LBS (Local Bike Shop), explain what you are looking for and see what they have. Mine often has second hand bikes that they take in part ex and sell on very reasonably.
2nd the LBS route, unless it's Earnshaws in hudds or similar where you'll walk out with a 4k bike in finance if you're not careful! Another pink bike gem: 2012 Voodoo Hoodoo - Large 20" For Sale
One final point. A good set up on an average bike that fits you will be a better ride than a good bike with a poor set up that is the wrong size. Again a good LBS, preferably an independent rather than a chain, should be able to help.
My humour wouldn't be allowed south of Sheffield I don't think :Wideyed: thinking of it, neither would I
Most folk buy a cheap bike. Hate riding the thing and sling it in the shed. Buy something semi decent and you'll enjoy riding it and want to ride more. Im not talking a 7k superbike but something thats works at circa £1k new or £500 used. Then once the bug bites you can get your leg in for a 7k bike
My son has a cube it cost £400 He bought it at 13 it's been abused up and down kerbs and he rides it to school every day he is now 16 and it's still going strong
A Rubik? didn't know they were still all the rage... must be uncomfortable to ride. 16! surley not, you don't look old enough
Seriously, walk. Why oh way oh why, is walking so not cool. I take a walk for a piss, I walk for a beer, I walk to take another piss, I just walk. Have you tried rolling about, now that's not easy.
