I learned today that... You shouldn't go for a ride with a friend who is determined to prove that he can ride his M696 faster than I can ride my 999 over roads I know better. It was totally Joe Bar Team. "Were you going for it? I wasn't going for it." He got one overtake in a corner wrong and had to leave the highway and do an emergency stop in a field in order to avoid an oncoming car. Took off over the verge, he said, and grass tracked 100 yards, but at least he didn't fall off. I don't need this kind of stress on a ride. I got all that out of my system 20 years ago. One time I took half pint milk with me and placed it on the inside of 749 panels. By the time I got there it was cream-ish.
