I hope you have a speedy recovery. While I was laid up I found the biggest problem (apart from not being able to ride) was general inactivity...and consequent weight gain (stay off the cookies)

My bike will be fine eventually, I absorbed the impact. Other guy is fine. He has great insurance and they are already receiving the trauma bills. They will be paying for a lot more.
ouch - sounds very painful, but at least you are on the mend. get well soon, and best of luck with healing fully and getting a smooth insurance claim sorted. Pete
