I'm definitely pro-electric, and I'm fairly certain I'll own an electric motorbike before I'm over the hill. I even looked into building one myself, just for fun, but the cost was prohibitive. At the moment it's price more than anything that's holding them back. I can't see how anyone can hate a bike before they've tried it.
The biggest problem for electric vehicles wont be battery life but the fact it will be impossible to produce enough electricity to allow everyone to own one. The system can't barely produce enough now to meet the needs of us all. Imagine if they had to feed all our electric vehicles as well. It's not the future IMHO.
I would, I like the idea and was impressed with the TT Zero racers, my average length ride is usually less than 70 miles so as long as the range was about 100 miles I wouldn't have a problem IF the price is right, it would be useful to have some sort of KERS system to recharge when you're not using power or braking.
Look nice, but if I had £40k (plus import duties, vat, etc) spare, then it would be a good way down my list of things to blow the cash on. definitely in the yes camp, but only when affordable and practical.
