  2. That's a tempting conversion, good used 620 ie engines can be picked up for £450.

  3. I considered going the injection route on my 750ss when I fancied uprating the power. In the end, a 900ss carb motor came up, wanting a rebuild, so that was the way to go. With FCRs, JEs, and a few bits its making quite a bit more power than a stock injected motor, and the fuel economy is better than my mate's last of the line 900ssie.

If you want to go mad, then Pablo's ST3 engined bike is probably the ultimate.

  4. er, a bit late but here's my effort, got the donor for a song October 2011 and it all went together fairly easily, overall I'm pleased with the result, it's cosmetically challenged but the ride is very good, wasn't chasing HP I did it just as a "what if" exercise for fun, although I'd had other IE supersports but just couldn't live with the Terblanche riding position.
In comparison to my carby it's more responsive on the throttle and gives less engine braking (lighter flywheel?) overtakes and such don't require as much effort so I'd say it's just that bit more user friendly.
