Insomnia

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by El Toro, Jan 3, 2013.

  1. It's people like you, El T, who give us normal office workers a bad name. In at 6, out at 8. We all look like slackers!

Can't you find a hobby like internet chess or something to keep you occupied out of the office? Or you could write a book, or learn astro-physics or something.
I hope you get well-paid for all your extra hours!

Maybe you could be responsible for the Australian market too, then when they want a callover at 4am, it wouldn't be a problem for you. If I have any more ideas, I may have to start charging you for them.

  2. I'm responsible for sales and marketing worldwide. So occasionally I do have to conference call at stupid o'clock with the Aussies. My US agent refers to me to his clients as "Director of Worldwide Sales".

I'm aiming for a promotion and the title of Director of Intergalactic Sales" next :upyeah:

  3. Cracked it. Started reading this thread at 3 this afternoon

  4. you won't sleep tonight

  5. It's 4am again... Got to be up at 7am .. No point going to bed now...

  6. Ever been referred to a Sleep Clinic, HC?

  7. Get to the docs!

  8. No .. On a good night now I get 3 hours .
    usually after several nytols.

  9. Hellcat - worth looking into a referral to a sleep clinic - strangely enough, I ran into someone I was at school with who you remind me of - lots of piercings and bright purple dyed hair - who was working at a sleep clinic at St Thomas' Hospital. Also worth discussing with your other doctors whether it might be the meds they've got you on for other health issues which are contributing to the problem - seem to remember hearing somewhere that oral steroids can cause insomnia.

  10. How on earth do you get through the day on 3 hours sleep

  11. Don't laugh.. Not getting no sleep is like having a day with no laughter. I feel sorry for you, it's not nice when you are lying there wide awake, knackered, fed up,pissed off, tearful and you don't know why. Everyone trying to give you good advice and pissing you off so I'm not going to, shit that was advise, x x x

  12. Good morning campers x
Advice not p ing me off...,
It's my brain it's shorting out.
    Stress... Worry
Also next door waking me up for 3 years every night.
I cope on 3 hours until I literally crash and burn

  13. I'm not as bad as you Mel but I have been awake since 4.34am and have been doing some work since 5am when I realised that I want going back to sleep.

  14. This thread is a flaming curse! The night after first reading it I had a terrible night's sleep and every night since my daughter has been up at least once an hour.
