Insurance Season - Higher Prices In Spring

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by pingping010101, Apr 19, 2014.

  1. Not always the case. There only needs to have been a spate of bikes stolen from gardens, or R1 policies paying out, or a load of 27 year old riders throwing it down the road. Risk is not a constant. When I asked someone in the industry why my insurance was so low they said its quite possible there is no data for my type of bike, in my area with riders my age, so the risk is very low. Risk isn't just you, its everyone else around you as well.

its pretty much a lottery. I would suggest however that R1's GSXR1000's and ZX10-s are probably about as high risk as its possible to get. Re quote on a Benelli Tornado 900 and see how much it drops!

  2. Bloody insurance companies.I moved about 8 months ago and my car insurance went down by about 10% due to a lower risk area but my bike insurance went up by ,yes you guessed it,by 10% because its a higher risk area.Err.
