I can’t share the video but I’ll describe one caught in camera. Car in middle of the road having pulled out of a junction and, on face of it, looks like pulled out and into path of rider. But….fella holding cam and recording is saying ‘you’re a scammer mate, I saw you do it…’ and it goes on. Basically, scoot rider sees driver of large Volvo coming out while already past, quickly turns round and runs into him and walking pace while he is still in the middle of the road. After a bit of rolling around calling for an ambulance to be called, guy with cam intervenes and starts saying he’s call(ng police. After few mins of scroat looking at his scoot, fella says police have been called and scroat jumps on scoot and heads off down the pavement so he can get past the cars and legs it Reports suggest it’s widespread in the last year and it’s almost impossible to prove unless cam footage shows all of it I thought same: how can bikers be doing it as it’s risky but in city centres when cars travel a couple miles per hour they just throw bike at it and jump off
Already got a dashcam looking forward and rearward, car looking forward. Maybe I should replace it to get the rear as well, by the sound of it.
Unfortunately there's a pecking order in life, the luck of the draw i'm afraid from the man under the stairs.
could be worse. my lads insurance for his new Aprilia RX125 was £2400. with two years NCD. rural as ferk and locked away. worst still. it has stood still since a week after he got it as he got a car test cancellation and passed. as a named driver with his maw he is just shy of 3k for a 20+year old fiat dobber non turbo that i had kicking around. (which he wouldn't be seen dead in but has covered near 4k in over the last 2months) chortle.
Thinking of another bike but keep my two insurances so no NCD as new policy. K1300S 5k and with 8ys NCD £175 With 0 NCD £538 Bring back multi bike policies!!
