  1. Steady on there. These threads do get a bit like philosophy tutorials sometimes, but it's going a bit far to tell someone off for failing to do their homework.

  2. The Renaissance? Did you mean the Enlightenment?

  3. No, everyone is entitled to their opinion, including the ill-educated, the half-baked and the perverse; just as everyone is entitled to their human rights, their vote, their religion, etc. What they are not entitled to is to have respect shown for those opinions when they are unreasonable, indefensible, and unsupported by evidence. So go on, Bradders, feel free to express whatever opinions you choose - and I shall feel free to pick holes (if I can find any) and shoot you down in flames.

  4. So you're telling me off for telling someone off? Chillax dad. At worse its just a bit of banter and bluff-calling. We are grown ups after and this was after all a thread about religion - I think we've done bloody well not to have resorted to screaming at eachother in all caps. But I'll reign it in lest I get my wrists slapped agan.

  5. Well, so long as they keep it to themselves I agree.

  6. Pete1950 only starts these topics off, so he can watch people wind each other up and then jump in to save the day and put a few people down....

  7. I just think he likes a bit of lively, gloves-off debate. Frankly, it's no worse on here than Prime Minister's question time.

  8. Fair enough.

  9. What? Spout a lot of hot air and bollox without anything ever coming to a conclusion or fruition, you mean?

I suppose you could be right.............I have always referred to them as a bunch of trolls.

  10. "1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.[SUP]2 [/SUP]Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters."

God didn't do all that in a day, it took him the first half of 13 Billion years, try condensing six and a half billion years into the first two verses of Genesis 1 !.

BTW, god is still waiting for a replacement clutch for his RSV4.

  11. An RSV4? Sure its not a big bang R1?

  12. So at the end of the day science is there to be questioned , religion is not (according to the heads of these religions).

Six pages on and what were the other questions ?
