  1. I beg to differ NCR S.r.l. :upyeah:

  2. i think that the colours for the panny and the 848 are gorgeous. the multistrada just doesnt do it for me unfortunately. mind you, its all irrelevant because i cant afford any of them!

  3. Its a lovely bike, no doubt, but.......its still blue :frown:

  4. Thats really is beautiful, but its silver with blue trim. Im not going to back down here :biggrin:

  5. I do like that!
    Mind you I like the 1098 black/red combo...

  6. id take the ally tank for my bike!

  7. Does the current corse evo have one? Can't remember...

  8. Love the Diavel in blue and white! It needed the colours altered to brighten it up. Its been a bit boring lookswise (too much bland black and don't mention the Cromo!) and needed help. That's a result. The white wheels will need a regular wipe over to keep them looking nice but that beats keeping corrosion at bay from degrading the alloy wheels.
Pity the Panigale isn't in the yellow as recently posted on this forum though.

  9. The tank on the 848 is just silver paint isn't it rather than an aluminium / alloy tank?

I have been mulling this over and am swinging between hating the new 848 paintjob and loving it. My initial reaction was that I didn't like it and I think that tells me that I might be better saving a grand and amending my order to a plain red "regular" 848 Evo rather than the Corse... I really don't know. I'm going to speak to the shop and see what they're saying about it and see if that helps.

  10. Actually, scratch that. I just opened my email to a newsletter from Ducati UK - says there that the tank is indeed aluminium... I'll read more...!

  11. Is the new corse with ally tank same price as the old rainbow bike?

  12. That's exactly the question I just emailed the guy at Ducati Glasgow. Well pretty much exactly that.

They (Ducati Glasgow) seem to be advertising the 2012 Corse at £12,995. When I placed my deposit they were at £11,995 but I was told the price may change. I couldn't buy it there and then or I would have so instead I opted to wait until March. The more I look at it, the more I like the new Corse scheme... strange as I don't normally change my view so soon, more likely that this sort of thing grows on me.

It's now my desktop background at work to see if it can help me make up my mind. If the price goes up any more, that might be the deciding factor though!

  13. Maybe you need a cooling off period...
I like the new scheme, but it doesn't have the same presence as the red only bikes or the old corse colours IMHO.

    Nice 'problem' to have...

  14. Funny, I think exactly the same and I emailed my mates earlier saying that - word for word. Nice problem to have indeed!

I got a very prompt reply from Ducati Glasgow there, they won't know prices until Milan in November and the sales guy I am dealing with is on a training course this week so they weren't sure right now if this paint replaces the current red/black/white one or not - but it seems as if it does. I felt the red was a bit plain, but the current Corse is maybe a bit fussy, the black and grey is maybe a good halfway house...

My very first plan was a red one with some carbon extras... then I decided to can the extras and get the Corse model. Now I'm not sure again, the only extra I am definitely getting is t. Think I need to see one in the flesh... which might mean talking Mrs. P into letting me go to the NEC show or something!

  15. Think it's one of those where you need to see it in the flesh before deciding, I think it looks good in the photos but could be disappointing in reality. For me the Diavel looks much better in person than photos, don't like the blue, and white wheels are a pain in the arse, had white wheels on a CBR 1000, complete nightmare.

  17. Have also seen today that the only colour choices for the 2013 848 models are Evo in Red or Stealth, the Corse in the Test Team colours...

This makes the choice pretty straightforward then I guess. It is indeed either a "base" Evo in Red or it's the Corse model. My idea is sort of working - I'd somehow forgotten all about this overnight and on arriving at work today I started up my computer and saw the new paint scheme on my background on the monitors and sort of thought "wow". It does seem to be a grower. I think it's going to come down to the price. If it's £12,995 like I think it is, I can manage that. If it's more than that I'm going to need to go for the Red I think or find the extra in my part-ex or by flogging the parts off the GSXR individually (both options may yield extra cash though I guess).

    Interesting times...

  18. Maybe adding the alooooominium tank to the rainbow bike have been the way to go... As per the 1198S Corse...:upyeah:
