  2. well, theres a question... personally i think maybe yes, but... have a look on that 'how many registered' website and see what sort of numbers are out there.

  3. Doubt it - if a base MV you need the 750 - Evo3 had all the problems ironed out.

  4. Like this one, but it's already getting up there in collectors money

  5. Interesting they don't say the mileage! But it is a mono which fetch more money.
Mines a Bi-Posta, I paid £5100 about 2 years ago from a bike dealer with 4500 miles on the clock. I guessed it might be worth £7K ish now but that may be a little optimistic.

  6. 13k miles, which is probably about the most u will have wanted it to have done wanting to keep it for value!

  7. There's a nice f4 on eBay bidding at 5600 currently. Low mileage and right colours but might not be a good idea being a 1000.

  8. Also considered a m600 as they are super cheap now and might go up if it's a 94 model in red.

  9. I think that one will go for more though, it's really low miles and tidy

  10. Mmm, does seem pricey at that - but you see all kinds of prices. You just have to be quick when good buys crop up. Sometimes a dealer who doesn't know a particular bike will check the book price and under value it. 6 months or so ago there was a 999R with low mileage on Ebay for £7950 at a KTM dealer - I phoned the shop as soon as they opened the next morning to find they had sold it at tea time just after listing it. It was back on Ebay that afternoon for £11K at a West Yorkshire dealer :)
I bought a new original 4XV R1 for £6K - saw it come on Piston Heads at tea time - phoned up and bought it. Went to view it the next day and they had more than 30 calls about it :)
You need to be quick with the true bargains but they do come up! My GSXR750RR was £4750 - worth £15K+ and my ZXR750K1 was £2750 1 owner from new - worth approaching £10K now. Both owned for 5 years. They were worth double what I paid at the time - both bought over the phone before viewing as I would have missed them.

  11. Sold my original F4 750S for £5,500 2 1/2 years ago. I really didn't want to sell it, but it was one of two bikes that had to go to fund the Desmosedici, so the end justified the means.

I still want it back and mailed the guy last year to see if he wanted to sell it. No go. :( I couldn't even ride it for very long when I sold it as it was so uncomfortable. My knees were around my chin. But I enjoyed looking at it.

  12. Would the standard baby models (748/749) be worth a look? They can be cheap ish now. All the bigger bikes and R models have shot up already so I may of missed the boat on them. Maybe in years to come a decent little brother could fetch a bit.

  13. More money but a good example: This sold 3 days ago with 3300 miles on the clock for £11,000 - you need to look for bargains as I said ;) what's it worth? £20K? Maybe more?

  14. I'm sure you will find an early, decent 916 for £5K if you are patient - when they come up on auction from time to time with no reserve or a low reserve they can go cheap.

  15. The other option is a 916 that's really ratty and spend some cash on getting it as new and just sitting on it

  16. So what's the opinion investment wise on the 1098r TB I've just bought?
Some say the last true Ducati-trellis frame, dry clutch etc etc.

  17. Check out post 34...

  18. It wasn't there when I was writing [emoji13]

Wonder how much further and what rate of speed they will climb?

  19. Probably the most out of all of the more modern Ducati's I think, certainly in percentage terms. But if you had bought 3 or 4 years ago you would be winning more!
