  1. Al, as a veteran of trying to do these kind of things, my advice would be to either not bother or grow a thicker skin!
Don't take people's procrastination as a sign of dislike, it's just that the majority of the people are both silent and want to be told what to do. You would be better off approaching this - as discussed in the other thread about the Castle - by simply picking somewhere at random and telling people to go there.

  2. Yup you pick a place a date and a time and post it.
if people want to go they can.
otherwise you do tend to get um er hmmm..
    More silence.
Or 20 page thread of I can't do that date ... Day , don't like it there.
Mc deaths it is then :)
made in Italy great place but not a meeting place .
as for food I have no idea anymore ... I can't recall the last pub lunch I had.
    Or I'd suggest!
Just no fecking gravel drives as I do not wish to be tweezering bits out.

Or I shall get a big hat out with pub names in :)
I don't know suffolk that well really.

  3. I used to be the Guzzi GB Essex Branch organiser in the 80s, so I know how to do it.....and I did choose a place and time etc etc, but frankly if people are that apathetic, I don't care.....

  4. Every ones got the winter blues, try again in the spring when there is somthing to look forward to, chin up mate

  5. Al I feel the same .. I'm finding when I can I escape Suffolk.
I have been depressed since I moved here!!!!!
That's why no MAG here cause people don't want to do anything why is Suffolk unsociable!

  6. I'm up for it, but not if its a ride out as bike in bits.

  7. I think even if we met for a cuppa or lunch or whatever it would be nice .
I could wear a bobble hat if you like so I looked a bit normal :)

  8. you don't need to keep saying that Mel - we like you how you are

  9. Someone was horrified by the way I looked a while ago !!!
    im very harmless.

  10. You should never judge a book by it's cover. Some of the nicest people I know from the snowsports industry are covered in tatts and hardware.

  11. So are the SAS....

    That's Suffolk Apathetic Sods

  14. Leave it out will ya.....I've got bl**dy Moonface again......

  15. I'm sure you have not .
just finished 3 lots and just starting to loose the weight that piled on with it :(
    l

  16. Bl**dy am Moonface.......I'm now reducing them by 5mg daily so hopefully it will start to go down soon.....

I haven't put weight on, just ballooned up in my face....

Looks like the incidents are going to re-occur every so often, though.....apparently steroids reduce immunity so even the steroid inhaler is likely to allow infections from minir colds to kick it off....

....and they have made my skin on my forearms go all thin, so the slightest tap and I get a big bruise type of mark, or if the skin is broken (which it easily is) it bleeds like hell. Just my leather jacket or watch marks my forearms.

    What a state......

At least you are younger and might avoid the side effects I'm getting.

  17. The skin on my hands went like paper :(
