strictly illegal in many countries "dangerous fittings or fixtures likely to cause injury in an accident" great defence that got me off an illegal number plate charge as I successfully argued that the large eye chart supplied constituted a dangerous fixture or fitting well I would have argued that if the police had not refused to forward any evidence for the proseccution and refused to let the case proceed becuase they knew they were about to lose and have a court precident set making number plates illegal sadly the case was not in the UK but in NZ not so sad without any notice or reason the number plates changed about 3 months latter to smaller sized plates
